Ultimate exercise motivation guide

Motivation is the key to succes. Whatever you want to achieve, you can, with proper mindset. When it comes to training, it's ussualy like this: first few workouts are great, you feel motivated, you want to work out, it seems so fun and theres no problem, but after a while you get those days when you just don't have to strength to get up and go do your routine. Picture this: You had a ruff day at work, you're tired, all you want to do is to sit on a couch and watch some stupid tv show, have a beer and go to sleep. The only problem is, you still have to work out... Hmmm... skipping one workout wouldn't hurt, right? NO! You miss one training, you will miss the second one, third one and all of a sudden, it's been 3 months and you haven't even made 1 lousy pushup. We all have this problem. Maybe you're like me, you enjoy exercising, but once in a while you just can't do it. Even if you manage to get yourself to do some exercises, you might skip a couple of reps or do the exercises with bad form. How to fix this problem? What should you do when you don't have the power to move out of the couch? The problem is not your body, it's in your mind! Motivation!
People all around the world have achieved sucess. Does it mean they are capable of more than you? Are they special and you're not? I don't think so! We are all capable of great things. So what differs them from us? Mindset! Then know what they want, what to do and they know, they want it now! Let me tell you a story. It's about a highschool kid. He used to be the skinniest boy in class. If he said that he's going to go to the gym or exercise, everyone would probably laugh at him! His class was 80% made of guys trying to act cool and strong because they hit the gym occasionally. They were so confident when they bragged about their stength. But once in a while they had a test during P.E. lessons. First year they had pushups. Other guys couldn't even do 20. The kid did something around 40. Next year, they did situps for 30 seconds. He did 34. The guy behind him did 20-something. Next time they did a couple mile run, he was first. And that's what we all should do. Just get up and do it, no talk. Big words don't move mountains, but hard work does! Here are some things that motivate me to work out, check it out!

  • Motivational videos. These are the best. Created specificaly to motivate the watcher or recorded motivation speeches. Watch this and you're pretty much motivated to stop a moving train with a blow from your fist!
  • Motivational quotes - Watch or listen to people you admire. For me it's Bruce Lee for example! Here are some most awesome quotes I found.
  • Music - Get your mp3 player from the drawer, put on some pump up music and get ready to work out! Choosing the right music depends on you. I guess best type of music to listen, while working out would be rock music (and all the subgenres, like heavy metal) and hip-hop, but listen to whatever fills you out with energy and makes you want to kill your enemies and laught in their faces! When training with music, I noticed improvements in strength, number of reps I was able to do, and even form. Here are some songs that ussually pump me up!
  • Movies and shows - Watching some badass scenes from favourite movies right before workout will give you the pump you need! It's ussually the best if the character is working out in the movie. You want to be like the main character? Cool, strong, confident? Then go and destroy that pullup bar or weight (whatever you do)! Here are some awesome scenes that motivate me to go work out!
  • Hypnosis. Allright, you might be a little bit sceptic about it. I know, I was too. But this actually works. A lot of weight lifter actaully pay money to get hypnotized to lift more!
  • You can also watch other people work out. This blog is about bodyweight exercises, so Im going to post the master of bodyweight training: Hannibal!

Feel motivated? I sure do! Now get up, grab a bottle of water and get on the bar or to the gym and give me all you've got! No excuses! All your enemies are probably working out right now, so they can kick your ass. Are you going to let them just do that? Or are you going to train hard, surpass them and be the best in the world? It's your choice... Remember that hard work pays off, you might not see the effects of your training today, tomorrow or a week from now, but after a month, a year or two you will be strong. And I mean STRONG, legitemaly strong! Combine everything you've seen here and make your dreams come true!

I've watched a lot of these in the past especially the Muhammad Ali speeches and they do work because they speak truth in these videos so it's easy to get motivated. The others I haven't seen before so thanks for sharing, nice article!
